Malika Virah-Sawmy

Facilitator
"It is a joy to see innovators, startups, and investors work out together why the system resists changes to innovate. Innovation that emerges from ii2030 isn't necessarily only about the latest tech, but can also be about bigger question of the "how": who owns the tech, who benefits, etc."

Malika Virah-Sawmy works at the intersection of transformative social processes, grounded action-work and sacred activism.  As a systems scientist and facilitator, she integrates the sciences, arts, ancestral wisdom and professional knowledge to harness collective intelligence and inquire about life. She is guided by theories and practices in systems change, collective leadership, futures thinking, innovation, learning, embodiment, decoloniality, and ancestral wisdom.

Malika is in continuous learning. She trained as a facilitator with the “Generative Facilitation Institute”, Berlin, Germany (2018-2019). She deepened her capacity in Systems Practice with the “Omidyar Group” (2020), in regenerative Leadership (2023) with the “Regenerators Academy”, Warm Data Host, with “International Bateson Institute” (2022) and various Decolonial, justice and antiracist trainings (ongoing, various organizations).
