Dr. Aline Menden thrives when she can bring people from various backgrounds together to work towards a more sustainable future. Facilitating business model and system innovations that advance the SDGs and achieve positive impact at scale has been the focus of Aline’s work for the past 15 years.
As a certified generative facilitator, Aline has a passion for designing formats which allow people to bring their full self. To do so, she seeks to apply the best of Theory U, systems practice, neuro-systemic approaches, design thinking, as well as insights from mindfulness and embodiment research. Applying these approaches, Aline has facilitated over 50 co-creative workshops, trainings, multi-stakeholder dialogues, design sprints, peer-to-peer exchanges and retreats targeting diverse audiences, from leadership teams to field staff. However, Aline learned most about co-creation and participatory approaches from the people in Brazilian favelas when researching for her PhD. Their compassion, curiosity and courage have since been her biggest source of inspiration.
